Busch Earns Bristol Win as Tyler Reddick Crashes
Rain Could Not Stop Busch
Klye Busch, NASCAR's only active multi-time champion, emerged victorious at the Food City Dirty Race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Monday, April 18, 2022. The race was marked by rainy conditions, but Busch was able to overcome the challenges and take the win.
The race was delayed by rain for over an hour, but once it got underway, Busch quickly moved to the front of the pack. He led for a total of 145 laps, and was able to hold off a late charge from Tyler Reddick to take the checkered flag.
Reddick, who had been running in second place for much of the race, crashed with just two laps to go. This gave Busch a clear path to victory, and he was able to cruise to the finish line.
The win was Busch's second of the season, and it moved him into the lead of the NASCAR Cup Series standings. He is now the favorite to win the championship this year.
